According to TMZ, Mia Goth filed for divorce from Shia LaBeouf on Tuesday night, citing "irreconcilable differences," listing a July 28, 2025 separation date, and asking for primary custody of their 4-year-old daughter. Page Six confirmed the paperwork.

Ten years. A horror-film bride, a New Orleans house, a guilty plea, a lawsuit that settled yesterday, a new girlfriend, a scream in Rome. And the thing that actually ends it is the most boring phrase in legal English: irreconcilable differences. A decade of material that would make a prosecutor do something with his eyebrows, filed under one line of boilerplate. The form is doing more damage control than any press rep ever could.

Read the actual requests. Primary legal and physical custody of the kid, plus a request to take spousal support off the table. No statement, no apology tour, no handwritten note, no 2am story. Just two checkboxes: the kid, and no check. That is what a divorce looks like when both sets of lawyers are doing their jobs, and it is the most anti-PR document in Hollywood this week.

Meanwhile the Mardi Gras baron is on video doing his best to remain a headline from 900 miles away, which is its own kind of custody arrangement.

YOUR TURN: the boilerplate ended the marriage and the lawyers ended the drama, what was the one moment in ten years that told you it was over?
