The waiver was never a form. It's a club. "I'm not an AI-friendly actor, I guess. I don't belong to that club" is a line out of a corporate HR manual, delivered at a comic con panel, and there is no press release to retract it because the club declined him in public. The receipt is the panel recording, and Amazon gets to watch it every time someone asks why the AI-friendly club lost its loudest member.
The timing is the genius. He torches one studio's future and books a new HBO role in the same breath. "I'm the first to announce, right?" is a casting tape disguised as a fan meetup. The exit interview is now the audition, and the room that gets the new job is the one the other room is burning.
Amazon's problem is the waiver was always a loyalty test, not a legal document. Cage just failed the test on a microphone, in front of a crowd, and took the badge with him when he walked off.
YOUR TURN: Take the waiver and the paycheck, or decline the club in front of the whole audience?
