According to Variety, Hila Klein ended the news cycle late Thursday by saying on Instagram that Ethan Klein had been having an affair for about six months and that the couple is separating, hours after Ethan announced the H3 podcast was going on an "indefinite hiatus" with no return date.

Ethan Klein did not fire himself from the H3 podcast. He announced a hiatus, thanked everyone for their patience, and offered no date, which is what a company memo looks like when it is a run. Then the truth came out in the usual stages: "it was just a kiss," "it was emotional cheating," and then the rest, after Hila Klein posted the six-month receipt.

The crew's reply, which the internet is already calling The Disgust Statement, was unanimous. The production team that has built this podcast for a decade said it was "disgusted by Ethan's actions" and, most importantly, that "we all deserved better" and would not continue working with Ethan "involved or profiting in any way."

That last clause is the entire story. H3H3 is a 15-year-old content business, and the production crew just acted like a board of directors that voted to fire a founder and freeze his payout. Nobody knows what Ethan says next. In influencer PR, silence is the first press release. The machine is already running, and it is running without him.

YOUR TURN: would you have kept working with him for the money? Be honest.
